About the Artist
Diana is a visual artist who enjoys working with acrylics, oil/cold wax, encaustic (hot wax), mixed media, alcohol ink and fabric paint. Her creative spirit loves to explore new ways of expressing her view of the world and conveying her message of finding peace and joy in the beauty of nature. The imperfect, confined and threatened natural world figure into some of her paintings, where she makes note of the destructive forces both man-made and natural which may be hidden to the casual viewer. Living in the rural hamlet of Kilbride (Burlington), Diana’s artistic works have been inspired by the flora and fauna that surrounds her with a particular interest in birds. Diana has been painting and showing her work for 20 yrs and is a founding member of the Escarpment Artists group.
