About the Artist
“I describe my work as unfolding. My deep connection with nature and God’s creatures, especially the horse, is reflected in my work. I have been painting for almost 30 years. I am self-taught and work in both dry-brush watercolour and pastel. My subject matter is wide-ranging including landscape, equine, portraiture, and still life.” Exhibitions of Deborah’s work have included juried shows in Etobicoke, Brampton, Georgetown, Erin, Grimsby, Terra Cotta, Mississauga, and Oakville. She was represented by the Burdette Gallery in Orton, for a time. Deborah was invited in 2000 to exhibit her equine work at the Woodbine Club at Woodbine Racetrack in an exclusive show with well known artist C.A. Baker. Deborah was recently published in the January 2022 Art Ascent Magazine, juried call for entry entitled People, and again in October 2022, juried call for entry entitled Summer.
