About the Artist
Hiking and visiting local conservation areas, parks and gardens provides endless inspiration to me to create floral and landscape paintings. I often paint on location (en plein air) using traditional oil paints and small panels to try to capture the scene and feeling I get from being out in nature. Painting outdoors provides the muse for larger studio paintings that I create indoors with the experience of “being there” etched in my memory. I am a member of several local art groups including The Fine Arts Society of Milton, Credit Valley Artisans in Halton Hills, and The Oakville Art Society.
